Ozone Vaginal Insufflation Therapy
Women have a wonderful option for ozone therapy that men do not have, which is vaginal
insufflation. If you haven’t read my post on rectal insufflation, to insufflate mean to blow air into a body cavity. Ozone vaginal insufflations are a powerful way to cleanse, oxygenate and rejuvenate a very important part of the female anatomy. There are many reason why a woman would want to do these treatments. They’re super simple and can be done by a woman in the privacy of her own home if there’s not a clinic near by that provides them.
The treatment itself lasts 15-20 minutes using a very small urethral catheter. I have been told that its quite comfortable in comparison to rectal insufflation. For one thing, the woman doesn’t hold the gas in (physically impossible), the gas is bubbled constantly over the 15-20 minutes. I used to call them scrubbing bubbles when I would describe the treatment to the patient. The woman would insert the catheter themselves unless physically unable to in which case a female nurse would assist. Once the treatment begins, the woman just lays on her back, relaxed and the ozone does the rest.
So why would you want to do vaginal insufflation? There are so many conditions that a woman may have to deal with reproductively, I’m not going to be able to go into great detail but I’ll do my best.
Cervical dysplasia from HPV (human papilloma virus), sexually transmitted infections, bacterial vaginosis, yeast infections, interstitial cystitis, endometriosis, fibroids, infertility, urinary tract infections, ovarian cancer, uterine cancer, the list goes on and on. We used vaginal ozone for so many things over the years that I’ve lost count. It works very well, its not curative in some cases but it can improve the woman’s quality of life and even their response to conventional therapy especially in the cancer cases.
I want to be very clear that if you have a serious illness, this is not a stand alone treatment & you should really be under the care of a trained ozone practitioner. If you need a hysterectomy because you have cancer or have a fibroid causing severe bleeding, get the surgery! Use vaginal ozone to help your body heal afterwards. I have seen far too many people try to use integrative therapies to avoid all conventional interventions for serious concerns and the outcome wasn’t favorable.
Many woman often feel like they’re getting a UTI (urinary tract infection) but when their doctor tests them they test negative yet the symptoms remain. theres also the case where they get a UTI that requires antibiotics but the discomfort remains after the bacteria is gone. In the clinic we found that they were fighting a fungal infection and ozone was extremely helpful.
If you’re a woman who has given birth through vaginal delivery, you may be interested in vaginal ozone’s regenerative capability. Many woman tear or have nerve damage after birth which can lead to less than satisfactory intercourse. They can have decreased sensitivity and libido that can seriously hinder their desire for intimacy. Unfortunately, aging can also lead to decreased nerve sensation, vaginal dryness and thin vaginal tissue that can make intercourse very uncomfortable. Ozone is quite effective in stimulating nerve sensation, increasing the thickness of vaginal tissue and vaginal fluids, decreasing scar tissue and helping libido. I have had more than a few woman report that vaginal ozone saved their marriage and drastically improved their quality of life.
Keep in mind that if you’re regularly using vaginal ozone therapy you need to restore good vaginal probiotic as well. Ozone doesn’t kill all the good bacteria but you should always add
more so you can create a healthy reproductive micro biome. There are vaginal suppositories that you can purchase which are very effective.
Vaginal ozone should be done along the same lines as rectal insufflation. Low to mid range potency, never more than 20 minutes long (15 minutes is preferred) no more than every other day for a while then cutting back to twice a week or less for maintenance. Make sure the ozone gas is hydrated before it goes into the body, it will severely dry out the tissue if not. If vaginal dryness increases during the course of ozone treatments, the dose is too high or the treatment time is too long. Vaginal, rectal or ozone saunas should be used during pregnancy or if you suspect that you may be pregnant, nor should they used during a menstrual cycle.
Topical ozone products are perfectly fine like the ones we make are perfectly fine, in fact my wife used the Ozone Skin Salve everyday while she was pregnant to help her avoid stretch marks, which it did.
