Ozone Skin Salve

The Use of Salves in Natural Skin Healing

The use of salves goes back millennia. They can have many ingredients or just one. The goal is simple, to calm inflamed damaged skin, provide a protective barrier against invading bacteria and speed up the healing process. Salves are used for cuts, scrapes, minor burns, bruising, eczema, psoriasis, diaper rash, bed sores, the list goes on and on. There are thousands of salves being produced today so let me tell you what makes our Ozone Skin Salve different.

What Makes Our Ozone Skin Salve Unique in the Skincare Market

First, we have been producing it since 2006. Long before Ozone Therapy became popular, in fact long before most people knew what Ozone Therapy was in the United States. We spent 8 months working on the ingredient formulation and figuring out a way to rapidly decrease the salve temperature during the mixing process.

Preserving Ozone Potency During Production

Ozone gas is quite unstable and when heated it begins to degrade rapidly even when it’s stabilized in natural oils. The only way to add beeswax to a salve is to heat it to its melting point but that is not ideal for ozone’s stability.

Proven Results and Everyday Uses for Ozone Skin Salve

Thousands of people have used Ozone Skin Salve and have had amazing results, we’ll be adding a Testimonials Page to our website shortly. We’ve been shocked with the results and the creative ways people have used this salve, stuff we had never even thought of.

Ozone Salve for Bug Bites, Mosquito Relief, and Skin Irritation

Bug bites was an obvious Duh moment for us when one person told us their experience, especially mosquito bites. Once we tried it for ourselves we couldn’t believe how well it worked. It doesn’t stop the bugs from biting (we’re working on a specific formula for that!) but when that burn or itch kicks in, a quick dab of Ozone Skin Salve calms it down so fast. It totally makes sense because of how Ozone decreases the inflammatory immune response.

Healing Ingredients That Work Together for Maximum Skin Recovery

Each oil in the formula has been chosen for its healing properties and for its compatibility with one another. Salves need to have synergy within the ingredients for it to be the best product possible. It needs to have a firm yet soft texture so that when its applied it doesn’t require super firm pressure to spread across the wounded area. Being able to gently apply Ozone Skin Salve to a cut, scrape or minor burn can be done with the lightest touch. If you have kids, a light touch on a skinned knee or elbow is a MUST!

Ozonized Extra Virgin Olive Oil for Deep Moisturizing and Healing

Ozonized Extra Virgin Olive Oil is our main oil in this formulation. Its very good at capturing ozone molecules and stabilizing them. Its also very moisturizing and high in antioxidants. Olive oil is a very common ingredient in skin salves but the Ozone is what makes it powerful. We Ozonized our oils until they are completely solid. Olive oil starts out green and then turns to yellow then clear and finally it turns completely white and solidify’s. That’s the only way to know that full saturation of the oil has occurred.

Grapeseed Oil for Fading Scars and Restoring Skin Pigmentation

Grapeseed oil is the next ingredient and for good reason. Grapeseed oil is on the “bad oil” list because it is a seed oil, however it is also one of the best oils for recovering the normal skin pigmentation after an injury. Grapeseed oil has been effective in decreasing Melasma, post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, sunspots and age spots. We’ve had this oil in the Ozone Skin Salve for nearly 20 years and it works so it’s going to stay. It helps to decrease the discoloration of scar tissue even if its an old scar.

Jojoba Oil for Anti-Inflammatory and Hydrating Benefits

Jojoba Oil is amazing for the skin, its hydrating, its similar to the natural sebum (oil) produced by the skin, its full of vitamin E and minerals. Jojoba reduces the inflammation of damaged cells and speeds healing. Jojoba is one of the most popular oils for skin care because its so effective.

Lavender Oil for Calming Inflammation and Promoting Relaxation

Lavender Oil is next in the formula not just because it is one of the most popular essential oils on the planet. Yes, lavender smells really good and goes very well with the smell of ozone, it’s also amazingly powerful in calming down inflammation and relaxing blood vessels to increase circulation to help heal damaged skin cells. Emotionally lavender is quite calming when inhaled so that’s also another benefit to having it in Ozone Skin Salve especially when you’re using it on your kids.

Beeswax for Natural Protection and Skin Barrier Support

The last ingredient is beeswax which acts as a binder to hold all the other oils together, add increased viscosity to the liquid oils and to provide a natural protective barrier on the damaged skin.

Safe, Non-Toxic Skin Salve for Kids and Pets

Every ingredient is Ozone Skin Salve is safe to eat (although we don’t recommend that), this is important because kids get cuts or scrapes, they also put EVERYTHING in their mouth. I want a natural, safe product to use on my son that isn’t petroleum based. Ozone Skin Salve is also very much a pet friendly product! Many time our dogs have gotten cuts on their paws, “hot spots” on their skin or bug bites and Ozone Skin Salve has come to the rescue. Pets lick their wounds so again its important to have a natural product they can ingest.

Keeping Ozone Skin Salve on Hand for Everyday First Aid

We suggest having a small container of Ozone Skin Slave in your first aid kit, your backpack when hiking (great for blisters), around the house, in the diaper bag or your purse. You never know when it will come in handy especially in the summer when pesky mosquitos are everywhere!
